Firstly let me say I have the McDonald's app and spend a lot with this company. Today having forgot to order a dip on the app for my fries I asked when I collected my food at the window if I could get 1 dip, where the response was it was 10p. Yesterday at Heathrow McDonald's this wasn't the case. Fine my cash is in the boot in my purse so I'll pay with Apple Pay. To which the managers response was I can't take card here. At this point from a customer service and regular customer perspective as a manager I would give someone a measly 10p dip. Nope she waited for me to get out of the car at the drive though to get the 10p. Then I gave her 20p and instead of giving me change was given 2 dips. Shocking customer service and from a manager even worse. Will just go to Greggs next time or one of the other many takeaway options nearby. Smart move to lose a regular local customer over 10p. I understand trying to make money but here you lose as I spend way more than 10p when I used to visit here regularly. So financially a bad decision. Manager said she is told to enforce this rule like it is a law, ha ha! Not a good attitude towards a customer either. I would suggest some basic customer service training here.
