Here is the updated version with the ending added: Every morning, I go to get my iced coffee from McDonald's. I always take it the same way: large vanilla iced coffee, super simple. Everywhere else, whether in Quebec, Montreal, Montmagny, La Pocatière, Rivière-du-Loup, Trois-Rivières, it’s always the same taste. But at this McDonald’s, no. They're really fast, it's true, but they can't make coffee properly. We agree, McDonald's is the very definition of a standardized recipe, but they can't even follow it. I know it might seem crazy to rant about it, and believe me, it's rare that I take the time to do it. But for something as simple as coffee, I expect it to be okay. This is such a basic task! If it was to prepare a super complicated recipe, I would be much more understanding, but now... Seriously, when you can't even make a standard coffee, there's a serious problem. I've been going there several times because I often pass by there, and each time, I end up with an iced coffee that is almost black, super dark. I even once asked for a standard vanilla iced coffee with cream, not without cream, but they still gave me something that made no sense. My partner went there too, and he had the same result. A few weeks later, I figured I'd come clean and asked for a large iced coffee with 2x cream, thinking this time they were going to do it right. Well no! I ended up throwing the coffee in the trash when I left for work. Even later, I should have abstained, but my boyfriend asked for a large vanilla iced coffee with 2x cream, and there, she had written no cream on the board. He told her it was indeed 2x cream, she corrected it, and he even repeated it when he got to the checkout. He gets to the window to pick up the order, and the coffee was still dark. He repeats it a third time, and she assures him that’s what she did. But when I tasted it, it was still the same, as if I had asked without cream. Honestly, it’s just a coffee! I'm not asking you to do math on Bill Gates' finances or solve Pythagorean theory, just to follow a simple recipe. This is the basis! I know it's a little intense to complain about it, and believe me, it's rare that I take the time to complain. But this is just coffee, and I expect it to be good, because it's such a simple task. If it was a super complicated recipe, I would have been a lot more patient, but now... seriously, if you can't even make a standard coffee, there's a big problem.
