I drove from Manchester to Reading to visit a friend during easter holiday. My friend brought me to this restaurant for lunch. Four of us ordered four dishes, the portions were extremely small definitely not enough to feel full. • The baked rice had undercooked rice. • The claypot rice had no crust at all. • The Singapore fried noodles weren’t evenly cooked; every bite was difficult—some bites were tasteless, others overly salty. • The pineapple bun was okay, nothing special. It felt like the chefs had no idea how to properly cook the dishes. This was the first time I’ve been so frustrated with a meal that I felt compelled to leave a comment. A truly unpleasant lunch. I appreciated that there are Hong Kong style food restaurant in Reading, The U.K. Their staffs are always working very hard to make food, to service the customers and very friendly including the owners. Waiting time is nothing for me, honestly, I just waited for 30 mins, I could taste and enjoy the food is the most important, very tasty, very good including their lovely bread all I had eaten in HK before. Especially, lemon tea, my HK tea! I am waiting for five years in Reading, at last, I could wait such amazing HK restaurant. I am very cherish that I have chance to get into such nice restaurant.
