Excited to go here to try out the beers and patronize the business while vacationing in the area AND to use our Craft Beer Reel Pass book. Would not recommend and will never go back! Female owner was rude and would not allow a BOGO for 2 people. She said we should read the fine print. She would only allow one person to use the BOGO (so in essence one person has to drink two beers). We were driving and only wanted one beer each. This is the only establishment in the various 2021 and 2022 Reel Pass book breweries that treated the BOGO in this way. Crazy! I would give this place a zero if I could.

So the beer here is on the better side of average -- perfectly serviceable but not necessarily standout representations of their respective styles. As a rule, I tend to rate breweries and brewpubs first and foremost on the the quality of their beer. On that basis a 3.5 star rating would be appropriate. But the ambience and atmosphere here is so inviting and comfortable that it shows just how much these elements can bring to the hospitality experience. That said, I'd rather drink great beer in a barn than terrible beer in a Vanderbilt mansion. But honestly I would come here just to hang out and play board games even if I weren't drinking the beer Speaking of which, a crucial part of that ambiance is NO SCREENS. I'm not averse to catching a college ball game on a Saturday afternoon at a corner pub, but this isn't the place for that. Any uproarious excitement from the clientele will instead be on account of a competitive game of Uno.

We got lucky when we stopped at Mecan River Brewing Company in Coloma, WI on our Valentines Day anniversary!
We loved their brews AND the charcuterie platter, which was an awesome little feast of smoked rainbow trout, sliced cheese and sausage, berries, crackers and spreads.
What a nice surprise to find such a friendly, cozy gem on a wintry night in central Wisconsin! We totally felt the love!
