Sitting inside you cannot go wrong with your location. Wherever you decide to park your behind, the view follows. Don't get me wrong, it's not the Heron, it's nowhere near the Heron. But Med Kitchen has a charm that calms you and convinces you it's summer inside.
Onion soup, lamb burger and salmon fillet. This is what we ordered.
Onion soup... Indulgent. Silky cheese, sweet onions, just everything you want when you're craving French onion soup. It didn't fall below standard, it levelled it and delivered.
The lamb burger and apricot couscous. Now this comes without a bun. Which is great. Because it's light, and fills you up when you add the cous cous. Incredibly tasty, and sings to your cravings without the calories.
The salmon. This normally comes with a hollandaise sauce. I went with a side of yoghurt and chives. It arrives chargrilled with ample potatos and green beans. Flavour wise? It's all in the salmon. The blackened pink fillet feels like it's fresh from the BBQ, and falls apart with every fork full. A very satisfying dish.
The staff? Hilarious and top notch.
Yes, definitely returning and this time sampling everything without guilt.
