Nestled on King Fahad Road in Riyadh, Medar is known for serving an enticing array of seafood dishes, with specialties that include fried shrimp and Hammam fried fish. It appeals particularly to seafood aficionados looking to explore a less mainstream dining option, as it is not broadly listed across popular restaurant directories. Despite its under-the-radar status, a glimpse of its profile can be found on Foursquare. The restaurant features lunch and dinner offerings, catering to those craving a seafood meal at different times of the day.
Visitor feedback highlights Medar’s well-seasoned and homemade-tasting shrimp, alongside the option of trying other compellingly recommended dishes like Mashkool Rice. While some patrons have enjoyed the spicy twist on traditional sauces, noting that the tartar sauce did not resemble the classic, others have suggested it adds a unique flair to the dining experience. The restaurant is noted for being clean, though sentiments around pricing are mixed; patrons acknowledge that while it may be perceived as a bit pricey, the quality of the food often justifies the cost. Reviews are somewhat outdated, with the most recent interactions dating back a year, and there's a noticeable absence of updates or new information from the restaurant's owners.

Their fried shrimp was good and seasoned well it tastes homemade, I would visit again to try more dishes. But their tartar sauce tastes nothing like tartar and was even spicy
