Absolutely incredible experience at Medeu! Going on a weekday is definitely the way to do it, we waited less than 10 minutes to enter. We also took the funicular, which offers stunning panoramic views of the Shymbulak mountains and the valley below. Everything was clean, well-organized, and the atmosphere was unmatched. Highly recommend checking this out during your time in Almaty!

They call it the stairs of health, I call it stairs of hell . But it's a great walk and beautiful surroundings and a lovely cafe at the end of the walk

Good Medeu base station wherein you can catch the cable car to Shymbulak. Can get there by taxi from almaty city with approx fare of 3500 Tenge.
