Michelin Guide rating

Michelin selection.
Good standard.

After more than a decade of service, this neighbourhood spot is becoming something of a Cheslea institution. The locals keep it well-patronised and it's easy to see why, thanks to the relaxed air and spring-like decoration with apple green banquettes and faux blossoming trees... More info

Love it. Very good service and I like the decorations with all the trees. Food is amazing of course. Very tasty. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: £60–70 Recommendation for vegetarians: Somewhat recommend Vegetarian offerings: Clearly labelled vegetarian dishes

A cosy restaurant which offers a quaint menu, alongwith pleasant attentive service. In hot days the number of seats directly close to the AC limited, and I'd avoid coming if you don't have a well ventilated table. The food was lovely but not exceptional although I commend its presentation and the fresh ingredients. The three star rating was due to the relatively high prices of the dishes relatively to the portion sizes, otherwise quite recommended. Some desserts - they were all delicious - are quite dense so plan your order and selection carefully... One important tip: Check the ingredients carefully for allergens as they are not clearly articulated on the menu. Price per person: £70–80

The small frontage of this restaurant belies an interior that goes back a long way. It's prettily decorated and tables are properly laid as you go in, giving a modern yet nostalgic nod to a traditional bistro. There are also a few tables under cover outside which was perfect on a hot day. But you're probably wondering what the food is like? The chefs at Medlar have created excellent multi layer flavours that blend perfectly, including the vegetables which are seasoned and herbed so they are every much the stars of the plate as the main show. There's a good range of wines, cocktails and nonalcoholic drinks to suit all tastes and budgets. Their mocktails are particularly inventive. The service is easy and gracious, mixing friendliness and professionalism without being overbearing. Did I enjoy it? You bet! Meal type: Lunch Price per person: £70–80 Recommendation for vegetarians: Somewhat recommend Vegetarian options: There are roughly 10 items on each of the starters and mains on the fixed price menu only 1 each of which are veggie. They both sounded lovely but limited if you don't fancy that one. Plenty of options for pescatarians though Parking space: Somewhat difficult to find parking Parking options: Paid street parking
