Update 2: Ordered Poundo and Vegetable soup and also fried rice. The poundo smelled funny and stale. It made me sick and nauseous. I had to throw it out. I don't get it. Poundo is such an easy item to get right. Their poundo is not the white version. It's off-white and greyish in colour. Now, I have had off-white poundo once and it didn't smell or taste like this one and it didn't make me sick either. I don't know if they reheated old, stale poundo or what? I tried it twice, struggling to swallow each time (that's how bad it was), and got nauseous both times. I dreaded it so much because it made me sick that I threw it out. I made my own poundo to eat with the soup and what do you know? No nausea, ZERO dread or sick feeling!! Why send out that kind of poundo? The vegetable soup barely had any vegetables in it. And instead of beef, they put LIVER which altered the taste of the soup. The fried rice had liver, which is preferred there, but it was salty and not flavourful. It also had an off smell, to be honest. I don't know if the bad poundo smell seeped into it or what. Maybe I'm masochistic or badly want to support small 9ja businesses but I MIGHT give them another shot with yet another food item. I am definitely avoiding their beans and poundo. But honestly, TWO different foods making me sick/nauseous calls for a 1 star and being written off. I've given them multiple chances and spent over $200. ............. Update: So I placed a second order, this time for beans and plantain which is one of my favourite foods that I always eat with no issues. There was something different to the taste, perhaps a bit off but I optimistically assumed maybe it was some different seasoning or the way it was made. Unfortunately, after eating a couple of bites, I got really sick. I'm talking extremely painful upset stomach that had me in tears. I am still nursing it over 12 hours later. I don't know if it was how something was washed, how they made the beans, or if freshness was the culprit. I have no idea. I would normally leave a negative/1 star scathing review for the hell I am currently going through but based on their previous kind reply, I am hoping that if they see this update, they will swiftly investigate and correct this so it never happens again. I want to see good businesses that truly care about customer satisfaction winning. If you order from them, try their delicious soup. Proceed with extreme caution on the beans. 3 stars. ............. Food is pricey. The banga soup was delicious (a little too spicy but delicious) but the meats could be even softer though. Just a tip. Also, the meatpie was glued to the napkin. I had to scrape it off. Maybe don't wrap it in napkin next time before putting in the paper bag or use more butter on the meatpie so it doesn't glue to it. I have only ordered once so I don't know if every order is guaranteed to be delicious or if I got lucky. I only point this out because some restaurants are consistent while some are a gamble so I will have to order a few more times to know where Mega Kitchen falls but I enjoyed the soup so fingers crossed. This was a delivery order so I cannot speak on customer service. For now, I will leave a 4 star rating. Price per person: $50–60
