Our overall experience was mid at best. I was super excited to try this place with all the great review but there was really nothing that blew our mind and makes us wanna come back. First time visiting Mein, and it lived up to its reputation. We had the wok-seared liver as the appetizer, then for the main entrees we had the Chive flower squid shrimp and the Char kuey teow (stir-fried flat rice noodles with prawns, squid, Chinese sausage, bean sprouts, egg, and chives). The liver was well done, as stated on the menu, and it was stir-fried in a light soy sauce and garnished with ginger, green onion, and cilantro. This appetizer goes really well with a nice cold beer! The entrees were really tasty and had a strong smoky flavor from the hot wok. The service was prompt, even though at lunchtime the restaurant was about 80% full. We will go back to try more dishes.
