First time here. First off, I appreciated how clean the environment was and that a woman was cooking. Something I never see in most restaurants. I ordered the biscuits and gravy. My eggs were cooked well and my home fries were crispy and delicious. Definitely recommend trying this place out. Decided to spend the night in Elk Grove so I could get a good look at her, walk around and see what's what. The people sure are friendly, just like in towns a lot smaller. My ol pal told me what ever I do make sure I eat lunch at Mel Dog's Cafe! Because...Well, just because! So I did. I was totally impressed with everything. I got my hotdogs wrapped in bacon...it was Amazing!
