This gelateria/café/sea-view spot is every bit as good as the internet says. Funny thing is, we almost walked right past it. From the outside, it looks like just another average street café. The long ice-cream counter doesn’t exactly shout for attention, and the sign — covered in vines and written in Greek — doesn’t help either. So don’t bother looking for “Meli” in big letters, you won’t see it. Inside, it’s buzzing but not chaotic. No lines for the ice cream, which is what we came for. And it didn’t disappoint: silky, rich texture, great variety of flavors, and scoops that are generous for €2.85. Service is friendly, quick, and no fuss. They offer the usual drinks, cakes (tempting, but we’d already stocked up on sweets elsewhere), and possibly food as well. The seating is actually quite nice — small armchairs that are comfy and a bit luxe-looking, with enough space between tables that you don’t feel crammed next to strangers. Add the sea view, and it’s a place you could linger longer than planned. According to the internet, the ice cream is made with goat’s milk. Can’t confirm, but the pistachio I had was outstanding either way. Creamy, nutty, and just right. Highly recommend. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
