This cozy little establishment makes a point to stand out by its colorfully retro atmosphere that exudes an air of comfort. Being that they are relatively new, we wanted to try them out. We went early into the afternoon, only to find that they were so popular, they were currently sold out of their cinnamon rolls! So we purchased a half dozen in reserve when their next batch came out in an hour. When we did, they had apologized for being unable to fully complete our order, due to one of the flavors taking longer than anticipated to proof, to which the owner went above and beyond by generously accommodating for the otherwise understandably unpredictable time it takes for a batch of dough like this to rise. The flavors that were available in rotation, were Red Velvet, Peach Cobbler, Classic, Butter Cookie, and Fruity Pebbles. All if thr flavors were consistently moist in dough texture, though the fillings were are distinct. The cookie butter frosting felt more whipped and light. It came with a dusting of biscoff crumbs and paired nicely with the dough and cream. The Fruity Pebbles is pleasantly distinct to what the two of us have come to expect from bakery items with similar theming—being that the roll was fresh, the cereal topping was still crunchy and the frosting had what I assume is marshmallow cream mixed in. Red Velvet was wonderful, as the cinnamon swirls paired perfectly with it. Peach Cobbler was all the delight you'd expect from the pie, but with the added plus of having a creamy frosting to compliment the caramelized flavors. And of course, the classic would, in my opinion, put cinnabon to shame. Between the perfectly moist dough and the richness from the frosting, I dont know that I've had a better classic. If you are a fan of cinnamon rolls at all, this is the place to go. But be advised, they sell out fast, so try to go early! So far, we are of the opinion that these are the best Cinnamon Rolls we've ever had. We will be eagerly looking to try other flavors they eventually rotate in. We also managed to try the Latte's which we think were a welcome change compared to other establishments that end up making theirs too sugary. It lends to pairing with the rolls better. The flavors we tried were the smores and Cookie butter latte and both were good enough that we plan on trying the other flavors Meal type: Other Price per person: $1–10 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Mellow Yellow Cafe is exactly the kind of family-owned gem you hope to stumble across—warm, welcoming, and full of heart. From the moment you walk in, you can tell this isn’t just another coffee stop. Everything is made from scratch, and that care really shows in both the quality and the flavor. Their menu offers a little bit of everything, from refreshing, fair-style lemonades and fun infused drinks to rich, smooth coffee and espresso options. The baked goods are where they really shine—freshly made, soft, and full of flavor. The cinnamon rolls are especially impressive, perfectly gooey and clearly made with attention to detail. Even the smaller treats like cookies and cake pops feel thoughtfully crafted rather than mass-produced. What makes Mellow Yellow Cafe stand out most is the personal touch. You can feel the pride behind the counter, and it creates an atmosphere that’s both cozy and genuine. It’s the kind of place where regulars are remembered and new customers feel like they’ve been coming for years. If you’re looking for a spot that combines homemade quality with a friendly, family-run vibe, Mellow Yellow Cafe is absolutely worth a visit. It’s not just good—it’s the kind of place you want to keep coming back to. Price per person: $1–10 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Vegetarian offerings: Not sure
