Nestled in the heart of Tignes, Mendikoa is a fine dining spot that offers a delightful mix of Basque and Savoyard cuisine. The warm and cosy ambiance, combined with the friendly service, makes this establishment a must-visit for foodies. The interior design is simple yet elegant, with a glass window that allows diners to peek into the kitchen. The price range is reasonable, and the portions are generous. Located a short walk from Tignes Centre, Mendikoa is perfect for those seeking a break from the hustle and bustle of the town.
The menu boasts a variety of dishes, including Le feuilleté de pigeon (pigeon puff pastry), salt cod, and fondue aux morilles (morel mushroom fondue). For drinks, the wine list is extensive, albeit a bit pricey compared to other restaurants. However, the Argentinian Malbec and the local wine come highly recommended. Cocktails and soft drinks are also available.
Overall, Mendikoa is a hidden gem in Tignes that offers an unforgettable culinary experience. With its mouth-watering dishes, attentive service, and cosy atmosphere, it's no surprise that this place is always fully booked.

We had our final dinner at Mendikoa and without a doubt it was our favorite. Off course they have all the traditional French cuisine (fondue, Raclette etc.) but this time we went for sea food menu. 3 amazing first course and 2 main fish dishes both best choice (Turbot and Merlu). All turned out fantastic!!! Txomin & Antton were extremely nice. Big Big Big recommendations Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
