Labeling the parking situation as a "scam" might seem harsh, but it succinctly sums up the frustration and disillusionment I felt during my stay. The most disheartening aspect, however, was the lack of empathy and assistance from the hotel staff when I raised my concerns. A more understanding and customer-focused approach could have significantly mitigated the situation. I had hoped for a pleasant stay at the Mercure Exeter Rougemont Hotel, given its reputation and the quality I've come to expect from the Mercure brand. Unfortunately, the parking experience cast a shadow over my visit, leading me to reconsider future stays and to advise potential guests to be wary of the parking situation.
