Dropped by Mexican Sugar at The Domain on a Friday for lunch. We didn't have a reservation but luckily got seated right away, though I'd definitely suggest booking ahead if you are coming during peak times! The ambiance here is great. It's an open space with very high ceilings, perfect for a large party. The rustic-modern Mexican decor looks beautiful. They serve complimentary chips and salsa to start. The chips were crispy and the salsa was very tasty. We ordered the Oyster Mushroom Enchiladas and the Cheese Enchiladas, both served with side portions of rice and beans. The overall flavor profiles were very good, and we especially loved the rice, which had a unique and refreshing mint and lemon flavor. The only real downside was the execution of the enchiladas themselves--the tortillas felt a little hard and chewy, likely from being slightly over-baked, and they had very little filling inside. Overall, it's still a really good spot to try at The Domain! Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20 Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5 Vegetarian offerings: Clearly labelled vegetarian dishes

We drove from Cedar Park and walked in at 5:30pm on a Wednesday to check out this new restaurant. The big group in front of us was turned away because they didn’t have a reservation. Having no idea that we were supposed to reserve a spot for just the 2 of us, we talked to the host Jaime and said we told him we had driven all the way there because we were recommended to try this place. He was very nice and told us to wait a minute to see what he could do. He actually found us a spot! We were so excited! And it didn’t disappoint! The server was great! The ambiance was great, the presentation of all the food was different and great, and the fajitas were tender and great too. Also the Quattro Leches dessert was too good! We left there wanting to go back with friends! Thank You Jaime for finding us a spot! We will be back - with a reservation! The ambiance is Spanish Tavern-isque with a live kitchen. Candles, mirrors, paintings and wood beams. Chips were fresh and light. Salsa was a bit too runny for my taste but had great flavor. It was hard to get enough salsa onto the chips even tho they were big. Watermelon juice also felt fresh. Cheese Enchiladas were awesome!! The cilantro corn rice was very good. And service was very very prompt. I did come in on a Tuesday at 2pm so YMMV. They are new and here to impress! Meal type: Lunch Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
