Mezes has been my go to Toronto greek joint for decades! This newer location is where pappas used to be. It is stunning architecturally. The made it an indoor outdoor seating space for the patio. The restaurant interior is tiered with and upper deck and ground level like their older restaurant (now their take out pick up location). If you heard downstairs, there is the most cozy atmosphere! (Like dropping into nana's living room but classy!) Their food is always phenomenal. Today i ordered the small kria plate (think a mix of four types of hummus like substances) with the extra naan (always get the extra naan!) I've been to a number of greek restaurants in my day and no one does the kria platter quite like here. For my main, i ordered the octopus appetizer. Don't let it being an appetizer fool you, that octopus is one meaty boy! Service was great as usual. No water pitcher was left empty! As always i will return to this wonderful establishment with my friends and family in the future.
