After a long walk around Livu Square, go to this restaurant and have a rest here. Many guests have noticed that the staff is knowledgeable at this place. Good service is something visitors appreciate here. Mezpils Alus offers you low prices for delicious meals. It's always good to experience something new and enjoy the cool atmosphere. Alex was a wonderful waiter! We had a lovely time and the balsam black current shots are a Latvian must! We are American tourists and are glad we found this spot. We got the salmon soup and the prawn salad, both were very tasty. Overall very nice time :-) Price per person: €50+ Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We stumbled upon this restaurant looking for a little drink and an app to start our night. The atmosphere was lovely, the live music was fabulous. We ordered the salmon soup and king prawn salad— both were so delicious!!! The soup was perfectly cozy and the dressing on the salad was so yummy. Perfect starters for our evening. The live music and outdoor seating drew us in, but Aleksejs was the reason we decided to stay!! He was so warm and welcoming and had great recommendations. We have never been to Latvia so we wanted to try some local drinks and he set us up right! The black currant spritzer was really delicious and we had a few shots of the black currant liquor as well— highly recommend to those who haven’t had before!! Blankets and a little fire heater were provided and we stayed quite warm and cozy under the tent. The atmosphere was very friendly. Aleksejs was great and attentive. We have been in Latvia for a few days and had the best night so far here. Stop by and have a wonderful evening!!! The reviews on google do NOT portray the wonderful evening my sister and I had here.
