The food was delicious and not the standard dishes you can get on every restaurant. If you want truly home-cooked and individual dishes, then this is your place. Amazing food, huge portions and a very welcoming chef. It was the best meal I had during my Camino trip. I was lucky to get a table without a reservation. Even though I was traveling alone, I did not feel alone there at all, I felt warmly included, almost like part of a big Portuguese family. Mezza Local Café is a real discovery in Esposende. Among all the other restaurants of similar style and menu, Mezza is offering something different, authentic and delicious. The owner is very friendly and you can feel from the moment you walk in that she cooks with lots of love and attention. I had a wonderful, tasty risotto and can’t wait to be back to try more.
