Mi Rancho Alegre was confusing, but in a mostly good way. They start you off with chips, salsa, and refried beans, which immediately earns points. However, a moment of silence for my fellow Dr. Pepper people—it’s Coke products only. The menu feels like it couldn’t commit to a theme. You’ve got tacos, fajitas, and quesadillas and then suddenly seafood, burgers, and pasta show up like they weren’t invited but stayed anyway. I was skeptical—but credit where it’s due, the food actually delivers. I ordered a quesadilla and got what felt like enough food to feed a small family. Everything came out ridiculously fast and was genuinely flavorful. Dessert was a strong finish—the brownie and chocolate flan were both worth it. The server was nice, the vibe inside is cool with lots to look at, and there are sports playing quietly in the background so it’s not chaotic. Also, plenty of spots if you’re the “take pictures of everything” type. Only real downside right now: the parking lot is an adventure. It’s not finished, so proceed with caution.
