Phenomenal.. If you've never heard of this place, you're not alone. Its not more than 50' off Kingsley one block
east of Plainview. I'll bet I've passed by here 1000 times and never noticed this place. Go for lunch,
they aren't open for dinner or weekends I dont think. They make authentic tacos and tortas....asada,
carnitas, chorizo, and al pastor are available. The portions are huge, I can barely get 2 tacos down,
they give you a double portion of meat for $2. I usually get the carnitas and the braised pork is tender
and juicy. The tacos are served with a side of onions and fresh cilantro and homemade chili sauce that
is just delicious. With a bottled drink thats $5.96 and I'm headed to the covered picnic table outside to
scarf these delicious creations down like there is no f'in tomorrow! They've also got a Max Tortas that
is $7 so it must be huge!
I went back today for a torta, what a treat that was. The asada torta was filled with grilled beef, crema, guac,
tomatoes, and chili sauce on a toasted bun, you'll have a hard time finishing one of these.
Also, if you need supplies, this is the place. Inside, this whole place cant be more than 15x15' plus
the kitchen. There is no menu, they make tacos, thats it. The grocery has a good selection of spices,
dairy, cheeses, and chorizo. So if you are having a themed dinner party, this place is worth checking
out for hard to find items.
