Check out nicely cooked branzino, grilled scallops and grilled octopus this place offers. If hungry, come here for tasty bread pudding, biscuits and egg waffles. Some guests recommend delicious malbec, coffee martini or bourbon at this spot. Good espresso, bread drink or tea are worth a try here.

Food was excellent and Donna service plenty of space but Restaurant in some reason takes reservations octopus was great but a lot of noise on a plate that not necessary should be there. I wouldn’t put it there octopus other than this. Everything was super great how you recommended for romantic evening or celebration. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $90–100 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

On July 25, 2026, my boyfriend, two friends, and I visited MICO in Uptown Charlotte to celebrate a birthday. Unfortunately, what was supposed to be a special evening turned into a very disappointing and frightening experience. We arrived at approximately 7:09 p.m., but due to an unexpected emergency, we did not receive our meal until around 9:09 p.m. During our visit, a fire broke out on or near the restaurant’s rooftop, forcing everyone to evacuate. It was a scary experience, and our birthday celebration was completely interrupted. Although we considered leaving, we returned once the restaurant reopened in an effort to be understanding and respectful of the staff, knowing the situation was unexpected. Unfortunately, after waiting about two hours, our food arrived cold. At that point, we were extremely hungry and decided to eat it rather than wait even longer. Considering the lengthy delay, the evacuation, and the quality of the food, the overall experience was very disappointing. While I understand that emergencies can happen, I believe the restaurant should review its safety procedures and how it handles guests after an incident like this. Better communication, fresh food after such a long delay, and some acknowledgment of the inconvenience would have gone a long way. Sadly, what was meant to be a memorable birthday celebration was ruined. We spent our money expecting a great dining experience but instead left disappointed. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend this restaurant. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $100+ Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

I hosted a baby shower for my daughter in Mico restaurant’s lovely private room and it was a wonderful experience. Nicholas (the event planner) was very easy to work with and responded quickly to any questions or concerns that I had. On the day of the shower Christina (restaurant director) and our server Horace made sure we had everything we needed. Christina coordinated a separate meal option for one of the guests on a restricted diet. Horace was especially helpful in explaining the menu and taking care of each guest. I would highly recommend Mico restaurant as a venue for future events. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
