Stumbled onto the Taco Shop tucked away in a funky Midtown alley, and it’s exactly the kind of hidden gem you hope to find. I went with three carnitas tacos loaded “with everything,” and they did not disappoint. Each one was piled high with perfectly seasoned, tender pork, fresh cilantro, and diced onions. The salsa verde brought a nice kick and tied everything together without overpowering the flavor of the meat. Washed it down with an ice-cold tamarind Jarritos, which hit just right. The whole setup is alfresco with picnic tables and umbrella seating, giving it a laid-back, off-the-beaten-path vibe that actually adds to the experience. went because google labeled “not busy” been waiting for 45 mins for a burrito and three rolled tacos, just very disappointing i had to be late for something all because they kept doing God knows what back there… two customers here.. just awful. food is alright, not gross but shouldn’t take that long, and when i tried asking how long its going to be i was given a pointer finger, just awful customer service and so inconsiderate of other people’s lives.
