Definitely wouldn’t go back or recommend this place. I came to have an iced coffee, later I got an ice cream. Ice cream was nice but the service was absolutely horrendous. The woman behind ice cream counter must thought I’m stupid. She tried to fake being nice, but did not manage. While serving other Spanish speaking clients she was nice and polite. While serving me, she stared at me. Her colleague served me “iced coffee” - a cappuccino in ceramic cup with two ice cubes. Of course the coffee was warm, far from even cold. So she said to me she can give me more ice. I said that would be nice and she went to the freezer and put one more ice cubes with her bare hands. Meanwhile the lady that was staring at me had some comments about my coffee being too hot (yes, madam, you should know if someone doesn’t speak some language doesn’t necessarily mean they don’t UNDERSTAND). I still don’t understand why I didn’t leave after this, I really should. But if this wasn’t enough, when I went to counter to pay, the lady that stared at me showed me my “bill” which she just wrote down. She automatically put 10% tip, I payed and went to the toilet. By this point I was quite irritated, so when I came back from the toilet I checked the menu and didn’t find any mention about mandatory tips or service fee. So I asked the nearest employee why she charged me automatically when there’s no mention about this. He said tips are not mandatory and they ask if a customer wants to add some. I said she never asked me, and even if she did I wouldn’t tip her for her services. I was asked if I want the tip back and I said I do. So I appreciate this from the side of her colleagues. But other than that I wouldn’t come here ever again. Food: 4 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3

Ask any local where is the best ice cream in Easter Island and they will tell you is Mikafe! It's so good that I visited this place twice. When here try not to go for the conventional flavours but try the local ones like the Tipanie and the Hai'a they are really good and refreshing! I really enjoyed the ice cream but its a little weird they tend to melt faster than normal so try to eat it quick! Saw that the menu they had waffles, I wanted to have some ice cream on the waffles but they weren't available. A slight disappointment that I went back twice and both times they didn't have waffles available. Reasonable prices and highly recommended! Meal type: Other
