We had the most incredible experience here on our recent trip to Tokyo. Mikiya is run by such a lovely couple who made us feel like we were welcomed into their home. They were so warm and friendly despite the language barrier, so much so that our 3 year old son who was missing home even wanted to go back to see them another night and gave them both a cuddle. The food was also excellent, in particular the sashimi was just so fresh and delicious. The tori no karaage was some of the best I've had. If we get back to Tokyo I really hope this Izakaya is still here and it's the first place I would come back to have dinner!
