I discovered Millet completely by chance while walking through Otaru, and it ended up being one of the highlights of my entire 36-day trip around Japan. The atmosphere is unbelievably cozy and welcoming, the kind of place where you immediately feel comfortable and want to stay longer. My first meal was the seafood curry, which was absolutely superb and offered incredible value for money. It was so good that I came back for lunch every single day afterward. Over several visits I tried the yakiudon and yakisoba as well, and every meal was excellent. The portions are satisfying, the flavors are wonderful, and each set comes with soup. What amazed me most was the price: everything is under ¥1,000, and even adding a coffee brings the total to only around ¥1,000. After more than a month traveling across Japan, eating in countless restaurants, cafés, and local establishments, Millet stands out as the place I would recommend above all others. Great food, fantastic value, and a warm, cozy atmosphere that kept bringing me back. If you're visiting Otaru, don't miss it. Price per person: ¥1–1,000
