Okay I hate to leave bad reviews but the amount of money I spent was stupid for bad food. I live half mile away and I really wanted to try them since they opened this was my first time. I walked in and asked for a menu and the gentleman pointed to the one taped to the counter I had to ask a few times for a paper menu he didn't understand me. I got my menu thanked the gentleman and said I will be right back. My husband picked the Chicago style pizza I added pepperoni for him ( he was excited he loves Chicago style). Then we decided on a meat lovers pizza large and the yummy fries. We like to try a few things from a new place. I asked what was yummy sauce and they said it's a secret sauce and would not tell me. He offered to give me a sample I said no thanks and ordered the fries they sounded so good. So my order was the following . 1.pepperoni Chicago 2. Large meat lovers 3. And a order of yummy fries. My total was $75.24 before tip and yes I did tip. He said thank you I said so like 20 minutes because he started to walk away he turned around and said oh no no no 20 more 25-30 I said okay thank you again. While walking to my car thinking that they screwed me over because no way I just spent 75 on pizza. I asked for the receipt he wasn't going to give me otherwise. I grabbed the menu and added everything up added taxes and walked back in because there was $10 unaccounted for. I waited patiently for someone to be free and explained that I think I was over charged for the Chicago because the menu HE gave me 10 minutes ago said $24.99 for cheese and $4.99 for premium toppings I added pepperoni. I said that is not the price you changed me for you charged me $40 for this pizza. And it should have been like $30 I'm so sorry but that's a $10 price difference and I don't know what happened. He said oh if you looked on line that pizza is $40 on our website. I said sir I am looking at the menu you just gave me and the one taped to the counter says otherwise. He said sorry and mumbled something I couldn't understand I think he was talking about food cost which I get. But no signs saying prices have changed nothing. He offered me fries which I already ordered I said no thank you. Then showed me someone else's order from yesterday saying see she was charged $40 too. You guys NEVER AGAIN will I go there. Because how was the pizza bland HOW so many ingredients and it was bland. The fries were delicious my husband said it was the best thing we ordered. And the Chicago style was not worth $40 nope 2 pizzas smashed together and hardly any toppings or cheese. I hate leaving bad reviews I wanted to love them they are a small business and local but nope I had to say something. Price per person: $20–30 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Dear Krystal, I’m truly sorry for your experience—reading your review is honestly very disappointing for me because this is not the standard we want for anyone, especially someone who lives so close and gave us a chance. You are absolutely right about the pricing issue. There’s no excuse for the confusion between the menu you were given and what you were charged. That should have been clearly communicated, and we failed there. I take full responsibility for that, and we are already working on fixing our menus immediately so this doesn’t happen again. I also sincerely apologize for the communication difficulties and how the situation was handled when you brought it up. You should have felt respected, heard, and taken care of right away—not left frustrated. What hurts the most is that the food didn’t meet expectations. There’s no reason for anything we serve to be bland or disappointing, especially something like our Chicago-style pizza. We clearly missed the mark, and I’m very sorry. I would truly appreciate the chance to make this right. I’d like to personally offer you a full meal on us—anything you’d like—so we can give you the experience you should have had the first time. No charge at all. If you’re willing, please reach out or stop by and ask for Sayf or call 313-437-0564 so I can take care of you personally. I know we didn’t earn your trust this time, but I genuinely hope you’ll give us one more opportunity to change your mind. Thank you again for your honest feedback.

I had a very disappointing experience at Mimi’s Pizza (9 Mile & Van Dyke). I ordered two pizzas for pickup, and the person taking my order over the phone was extremely rude and unprofessional. Despite that, I still went through with the order. When I arrived to pick it up, the interaction was just as bad — I was met with a smug attitude and zero professionalism. They then tried to charge $1 for a tiny cup of ranch, which turned out to be spoiled. The pizza itself was extremely overpriced for such low-quality food and honestly not good at all. I didn’t even finish the food — it was bad enough that I had to throw it away. Shortly after eating, I started feeling stomach discomfort before I could even digest the food. Between the extremely unprofessional service, overpriced low-quality pizza, extra charges, spoiled sauce, and food that wasn’t even edible, this place is not worth it. I won’t be returning and wouldn’t recommend it to others. Price per person: $40–50 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
