Honestly, we might’ve expected a little too much out of this place. Nowhere did it say that breakfast at 8am would only get you ham sandwiches and a set of coffee and toast. We wanted the omurice but that was only available after 11am. We did not feel welcomed by the older waitress who almost aggressively pointed at the menu, telling us certain items were not available. Language barriers are sometimes hard to cross and we don’t have to necessarily understand each other, but we did not feel like the staff were friendly or even wanted us there. Best Coffee in Kyoto, forget Starbucks and the others alike, Minami takes the 1st place. Most friendly atmosphere, very cosy and all are welcome, the owners are genuine good people, full of energy and always striving to give the best attendance to their customers. Minami is just a few meters walk away from Kyoto Station, if you want to make a quick stop for coffee or grab something to eat or drink you will find there's no bad option in the menu because everything is made on the spot. In Kyoto, Minami is definitely the place to start or finish the day, although smoking inside is allowed that should not stop you Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
