Today I had a disappointing experience in the magical city of Assisi, Italy. After enjoying the best Italian food for a month in various regions, my perception changed when I visited the restaurant il Tempio de Minerva. Unfortunately the quality of the food was poor: the pork loin was undercooked, the baked potatoes were undercooked, the bread was stale and the salad, which according to the menu should have come with Caesar dressing, arrived with mayonnaise. Furthermore, the chicken was old and dry, not matching the ingredients mentioned. As a food professional, I avoid complaining about restaurants, but this place really shouldn't be serving people because the quality is unacceptable. When I expressed my concerns to the waitress, cashier, bartender, etc. (same person), she seemed angry and even implied that we wouldn't pay. I made it clear that my concern wasn't money, but the quality of the food, which irritated her even more. Despite his attitude, we decided to pay the bill, proving that it was not a question of money, but of the quality of the dining experience. We couldn't even cut the pork loin and salad, so we sent them back without trying them. This establishment, in our experience, does not meet expected standards and deserves a serious review of its dining practices. If you are looking for a clean place, this is not the right place, the food is certainly not the best you could wish for and the welcome was given with dirty cutlery.
