His wife, on the other hand, is gentle and welcoming, providing a balance that defines the experience. First-timers aren't turned away, but it's clear that the establishment values mutual respect. Booking by phone is highly recommended and results in warm hospitality, including a polite goodbye. The mini-course tempura bowl, though on the pricier side, includes dessert (a smooth coffee jelly) and pickles, and delivers in both portion and quality. Eating here is like being invited into a craftsman's home for a carefully prepared tempura meal.
