Fairly reasonable prices and excellent quality food. There’s a nice breeze that blows through the alleyway in the afternoon. I stopped by right after visiting the Pantheon to cool down from the heat. I ended up ordering the Caprese with prosciutto. It came with a platter of sliced meat and lettuce and rice underneath. The bread, olive oil oil, balsamic vinegar, salt, and pepper along with thick Caprese made for a wonderful meal. Light fair that hit the spot. It ended up costing around €13 for the meal. It’s an excellent spot to catch your breath and relax in the shade while enjoying a wonderful meal. The staff were excellent and very attentive. We just finished a trip across Italy, and this meal at Miscellanea—right near the Pantheon—was hands down the best we had. After visiting so many cities—Rome, Florence, Venice—this place still topped everything. We stumbled on it by accident, just off the Pantheon, and it was a true hidden gem. As soon as we walked in, we saw huge portions and a vibrant atmosphere—Papi, the front host, was so warm and set the perfect tone. It was my wife Nicole’s birthday, and Papi even brought out a vase with fresh flowers for our table—such a personal touch. We had some gorgeous wine, Aperol Spritzes, and started with a Caprese salad. I’m gluten-free, and to my surprise, they had a special gluten-free pasta that day—I had the carbonara, and it was the best pasta I’ve ever had. Nicole had a custom pasta with chicken and mushrooms—she loved it. The staff, especially Papi, were incredibly kind, spoke perfect English, and took care of all my allergy needs. After all the amazing meals in Italy—at La Giosta, Florentine steak, and so much more—this was the absolute best. If you visit, tell them Tom and Nicole sent you—Papi is the best, and this will stay with us forever. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: €20–30 Dietary restrictions: Homemade gluten free pasta made new each day. Also good with English and nut allergy.
