We decided to try Miso Japan recently instead of going to our usual Japanese place, and unfortunately I don’t think we’ll be back. I don’t know if this is how it always is, but the night we were there it smelled awful in the dining room like sewer water or something. My husband got the orange chicken—it just didn’t have much flavor and was very salty. We both got the onion soup and it was good. I got a sushi roll. It was good, though on the menu it said it would have shrimp tempura, crab, and salmon, but when it came to the table there was no salmon to be found. Probably the biggest positive was that all the staff were friendly, but still, without a good food and dining experience it’s not enough to bring us back.

My husband and I went when they first opened - loved it. He got a bento box and I ordered a few different rolls. We felt it was authentic and the service was great. We ordered the next time as a pickup for lunch and this time I got the tuna rolls - raw tuna. Tasted fabulous.... until 2 a.m. I was so sick I thought I was going to have to go to the ER. I don't know how the contamination happened, it may not be the restaurant's fault at all; they seemed very clean, but I have heard a few people have gotten the same kind of foodborne illness I had from eating there. Just beware of ordering uncooked foods - from anywhere really.
