Fantastic dinner tonight. Four of us ordered and had beautiful meals in less than 10 minutes. I would recommend booking as the place was packed full. The wait was worth it tho. Katsu curry and ginger pork are delicious! Can't wait to visit again. Miso Japanese Teishoku Restaurant - Worth the wait?Part of the Masuya Group, Miso has appeared right by the Green Square station appealing to neighbouring residents and on-my-way-home-from-work-too-tired-to-cook community.Highlights:The Sashimi and Sushi collection. For the sashimi, it was fresh and as it was nestled above a bed of ice, highlighting the clean and crisp taste of the fish.Review:It’s hard to say the least how I felt of my experience here as it involves a bunch of mixed feelings due to the polarising factors of good service mixed with a long wait time (45 minutes from order to food) which reflected on the food.Sashimi and Tonkatsu Pork Set - $27.50As you know, the Sashimi as part of the set was the highlight however I was saddened to see that my Tonkatsu Pork did not have the same treatment. The pork, albeit slightly overcooked was still enjoyable however it appears, that due to the pressure at seating capacity, I could not tell if the pork was battered with Panko Breadcrumbs or just Plain Breadcrumbs, it was not as flaky as one would to expect. The salad in itself was simply dressed with a tangy mayo mustard dressing and crispy fresh.Nigiri Sushi and Ginger Pork Set - $25.50Similar to the Sashimi, the Nigiri Sushi was not a let down and it was thoroughly enjoyable, the rice was done well, sweet and savoury where you can enjoy the textures of each grain. Once again, the cooked items were a let down where the pork was slightly overcooked but the sauce has a subtle hint of ginger which were balanced by it own soy sauce.Tip:
If you were interested in dining for dinner, I would recommend to come before 5:30pm or after 8pm, especially on a weekend.—Return when its not busy - TESTEDbypanda
