Really good ramen. We’ve tried many ramen places in the lower Manhattan area over the past few years and we keep coming back to this one. The miso chicken curry katsu and the kome miso spicy ramen are excellent. Highly recommend! This was my second time visiting Misoya, and it was just as satisfying as the first! They have a very extensive menu with several different types of broths. They also have several specials. The first time I visited, I also tried the yuzu sake, which was very tasty. The ramen comes out quickly and is filled to the brim. I've tried a lot of ramen in NYC, and I will say Misoya serves the most noodles. I swear the bowl is full of noodles. I was able to take home a lot of leftovers. The cha-shu pork is tender and thinly sliced. The chicken cutlet was crispy and cooked to perfection. The broth was flavorful (although a little salty for my taste), and the fried tofu was a nice touch, as well. It can be a little difficult to find this place. It is actually underground. The directions brought me to a bagel shop; Misoya is underneath the bagel shop in the basement unit. Once you enter, you find a well-lit, well-decorated, homey restaurant that you typically wouldn't expect from a basement unit. It's also in the West Village, so there are plenty of great dessert options nearby. This is a solid ramen spot and a great option the next time you're in the West Village.
