Don't go here unless you like being abused and disrespected by management and staff! RUDE bald guy manager (who refused to tell me his name) and brown curly haired lady at front register. I was so angry I was shaking. I will NEVER come back here. We had a reservation for 5 people at 10am. We were seated outside. Some of the WORST table service I've experienced. I arrived late and my friends placed their coffee orders already. We flagged down a waitress and asked her to bring us water and we ordered our food. The waters didn't arrive. We asked 4 times and she finally brought us two bottles of water. The food arrived and over an HOUR after the coffee was ordered the coffee STILL had not been delivered. We asked the server three times for our coffee order. We were almost finished with our mediocre overpriced breakfast and the coffees come out. No apologies just excuses they were busy. And I am still hungry. Three egg omelet and no sides with the $19 plate? I asked the girl (don't have her name but she seemed new and was very polite) to please bring us the check and can we please split. She says they don't normally do it but she can print a hard copy for us and we figure out our totals, then pay individually at the register. That was fine with us. She came back out five min later and asked if we wanted the bill printed? I think she forgot. She brings out the bill. **BUT then it gets WORSE.** Unfriendly curly haired lady at register with nasty hostile attitude asks us what we wanted. We very politely stated we wanted to pay individually and handed her the check. She looks at it like it was a flaming bag of poo, snatches it and says, "we don't DO split checks here!" Stunned, my friend says the waitress told us we could being the check up and pay individually so that's what we wanted to do. Curly haired lady retorts "well we don't do that here. **III** don't have TIME to do this. I'll just go get someone else!!" (Said it in a quite hostile manner) and stormed off to the bar area before we could even say anything else. I could not BELIEVE how we were being treated and I was not putting up with this treatment. After much commotion from the front of the house staff, rude lady gets another server involved and I say I want to speak with your manager. Curly haired lady walks away. Our server rushes over and takes our bill and the other server ignored me and asked our server why I wanted to speak with the manager. (I am standing RIGHT HERE lady). Our server quickly explained she told us we could pay individually. I asked what was the curly haired lady's name and what is the manager's name. No one would answer me. I told the server the curly haired lady was rude and I wanted to speak with the manager. Curly haired lady comes back over and the server asks her what she said to us. She tells her that she wasn't rude! She simply told us they don't do split checks. She COMPLETELY left out the part about saying "I don't have time for you". She kept giving me dirty looks and then the server tells her we said she was being rude. Curly haired looks at me and says to me "I wasn't rude! I wasn't rude!" Yes. You were. **BUT then it gets EVEN WORSE.** Someone finally brings so-called manager over. Bald thin surly guy dressed in all black, scowling, walks over to the register and asks our waitress what was up. I asked him twice if he was the manager. He just scowled at me so I asked again and he said yes. I explained why we were upset and he interrupts to say that no we don't do split bills I said that is NOT the point. He stares and says ok so what is it. I said it is the rudeness of the curly haired lady and how she spoke to us. I explained what she said and I told manager that I do not appreciate being spoken to in that manner. (Pause) He is still scowling at me. He says, "I'm sorry to hear that happened to you." That's IT!? Really!? Zero customer service anything. We were trying during all of this to pay for our tickets. My friend was waiting with her debit card as our server was about to ring her up. the second server steps in and takes the credit card machine away from our server to let another customer pay (who came in line after us). My friend still holding her debit card mentions this to our server and when manager came over she told him this was rude as well. He said NOTHING to her. He looks down and says to our server "well I'll let you get back to it" and walks away dismissively. Just WOWWW. Our server was a lovely girl and was trying her best. I really hope she does NOT get fired. The useless scowling bald manager should be the one to get fired. If your manager and your curly haired lady don't like people they shouldn't be working the front of the house! $125 for our breakfasts and this is how we get treated? This manager and staff have lost at least 12 regular customers thanks to this badly-handled bad service incident.
I spent a little time researching where to eat and drink when I was planning my trip to South Perth. As soon as I landed I spotted this place. I decided to skip another selection from Yelp and go with instinct. This place was amazing and awesone! Oysters!! Amazing. Barramundi was a suggestion by the waitress and it was rated the top 5 fish Ive ever had. I had the Dingo Larger and that was also great. Don't miss stopping here. FYI If you purchase the 2hr return ferry return from Perth its $3.30 I suggest looking at the timetable ensuring you know the return times.
Nice location on the river, friendly and efficient staff and an OK menu which could do with a greater selection of vegan meals. However, the level of noise was uncomfortable for conversation. I would go again but likely only for a quick coffee, not to linger over dinner.
