Ordered bimbimban. One egg plus a tiny little bit of beef. 10 dollars. You can get sth much much better and tasty in the noodle bar behind the street. Horrible place

Terrible service, extremely slow, not the waitress's fault, they had one waitress for the whole restaurant.  Last time I was there the soup and salad were free, now only the soup is free.  I won't go to sushi restaurants where they don't give you free soup and salad despite ordering $60 of sushi, mainly because so many restaurants in Ann Arbor give you free soup and salad if you order enough sushi.  The rolls were much smaller than other restaurants for the same prices, they weren't high quality, and they didn't match the descriptions. I went here with a $20 off voucher and still felt like it was a waste of money. I will stick with Miki, Sadako, Yotsuba, Godaiko, and Totoro for my sushi in Ann Arbor.

I don't know why everyone is hating on Miya! The staff and sushi chef are beyond friendly and they have some stellar, tasty rolls! My three favorites are the Michigan (honey wasabi sauce on top--yes please), Lobster Delight (drool), and spicy tuna. Their ginger dressing on on their house salad is like crack and the miso soup is on point. They can get swamped and are sometimes understaffed but that's a rarity. Give them a chance without the preconceived notation that they suck because they don't. I'm a semi food snob and foodie freak..and I know when a place has sub par food but Miya isn't one of them. It's definitely one of my go to sushi spots!
