The guy who took my order was so friendly and personable, he made me fresh donuts because they were out when I came in, he made good conversation and was super pleasant, the girl making my corn dogs was also super sweet, I’ve had their food and donuts before so I know they are good but this is the first time I didn’t have them delivered and I’m glad I stopped in, I will definitely be coming back! Mochinut — err, I mean — Mochi Lion Riverside (new name) is located just off the 60 Freeway and University exit, near UCR. They offer mochi donuts that were popularized in Japan (Hello, Mister Donut!) in various flavors. They are slightly sweet but nice to have occasionally. And they make the cutest gifts if you don’t want to show up empty-handed. These donuts would instantly bring a smile to anyone’s face. They are cute and delicious! They do have a rotating menu so be sure to check back often for any new flavors you want to try out. I’d come here more often but the parking situation steers me away - there’s just not enough parking spaces. But if you’re patient, they are worth it. Overall, tasty alternative to the ultra sweet “crumbly”cookies - you know the name - that’s consistently presentable and fairly priced.
