Dropped into Modus Coffee in Mount Lawley on the way into the city and was really impressed. The café has a cool, minimalist feel but still manages to be warm and welcoming. Ordered a long mac topped up which was perfectly balanced — rich, smooth and came out quickly even though there was a steady stream of customers. Also grabbed a toasted banana bread which was spot on. The barista was happy to chat about the different beans they rotate through, which was a nice touch.
