Not a great experience at Mojitos Modern Mexican restaurant. First let me say that a mojito is always my drink of choice so I was thrilled to hear that this place was opening up not far from me. We went fairly early on a Friday night. It was warm out so their patio was busy but we decided to sit inside and enjoy the air conditioning. I should have known we were in trouble when I ordered my mojito and the server asked me if I wanted sugar or salt with it. I repeated that I wanted a mojito and he again asked if I wanted sugar or salt. For the third time I said mojito and clarified that I did not want a margarita and he finally said "Oh okay. A mojito." I'm still not sure if he understood. My mojito arrived and instead of the mint being muddled, the mint was chopped very finely like the drink was put through a blender which made it very hard to drink without getting tiny pieces of mint in my mouth. I think this was the first time in my life that I didn't finish a drink I ordered. For dinner, we split guacamole as an appetizer and it was very good. I ordered the Veggie Quesadilla and it was a big disappointment. It was very greasy and the rice was quite dry. My husband had the Chile Relleno, their specialty, and really enjoyed it. Not sure if we will try this spot again. Maybe in a few months after they get some experience.
