From the moment I arrived, the setup was smooth, and the ambiance felt warm and inviting, making it a comfortable place to break the fast. The staff managed the event efficiently, ensuring a seamless dining experience. The highlight of the meal was undoubtedly the BBQ, which stood out for its excellent flavor and quality. The meats were well-seasoned and cooked to perfection, offering a great balance of tenderness and smokiness. It was one of the best aspects of the Iftar spread. While the variety of dishes wasn’t overly extensive, it was still decent, covering a good mix of traditional and international options. The overall food quality was good, and the selection was sufficient to satisfy different tastes. If you’re looking for a well-managed Iftar with good food in a refined setting, Grand Hyatt Muscat is a solid choice. While it may not have the most elaborate spread, the quality, organization, and standout BBQ make it a worthwhile experience. We booked a table for six at Mokha Café for Iftar, but unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. Despite our reservation, they couldn’t provide a proper table for six people and tried to squeeze us onto a small table meant for five. When we raised the issue, the staff member we dealt with, named Koma, spoke to us with attitude and was not friendly at all. We drove over 60 km to get there, expecting a welcoming and organized experience, but instead, we were made to feel uncomfortable and disrespected in front of other guests. What made it worse was that there were plenty of empty tables that could’ve accommodated us, yet they didn’t make any effort to help. In the end, we decided to leave because of how poorly we were treated. It was a frustrating and unpleasant experience—we expected much better service, especially during Ramadan.
