Staying at the motel tonight and the bunk room we are in is fab. Really more spacious than I was expecting and lots of fun for the kids (I have a 10 year old, a 4 year old and a nearly 1 year old who is in a travel cot). We went to dinner at the diner and unfortunately felt let down. The service was lacklustre - it was hard to get anyone’s attention to order and get the bill. No one came over checking if we were ok - I always had to try to flag someone down. I realised too late that I think they expected us to use the QR code on the table to order. When the food came, the kids’ plates were served cold to lukewarm. The tenderstem broccoli seemed raw. The chicken tenders were incredibly bland and ironically tough. My salmon bagel was delicious, however. By the time I’d realised the kids food wasn’t good, it was too late to complain properly and my older daughter had eaten most of her chicken anyway as she was hungry even though she said she didn’t like it. I mentioned to the server when we got the bill that the kids food wasn’t good and he gave us 10% off. I felt that wasn’t really good enough but as I hadn’t been able to complain in a timely manner it was understandable. My younger daughter is still awake now complaining she is hungry :( Perhaps this would have all be dealt with better had someone come to check on us after serving the food, then again, perhaps not. The fresh squeezed orange juice could have been better - I think they might not be using the right oranges. As an aside, the floor was a bit dirty - probably this is only something you notice when you’ve got a crawling baby that keeps escaping the high chair I’m in two minds whether to keep our breakfast reservation for tomorrow Had the kids food been better, it would have been good value. We stayed at Mollies last night. The room was clean, and the front of house staff in the hotel very helpful. We also ate in the restaurant and have to say that the meet and greeter was very nice. Smiling and interested. Service was pretty quick. The food was good but it didn't set the taste buds tingling. All 4 in our party enjoyed their meals but that's as much as we could say. We stayed in room 21 which was adjoining the main stairwell and it was noticeable hearing people coming up and down all night as there is no lift. A small detail but for anyone with kids it needs to be considered as they were woken a number of times. Food & drinks: Fresh and quick service. Rooms: 4 Service: 5 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: High-tech
