Yesterday we were able to reserve a table for 6 people by telephone at short notice. Were welcomed and served very nicely. All dishes/drinks were very tasty and special requests were also fulfilled without any problems. We felt very comfortable, ate well and had a really great end to a lovely trip to Oberhausen. I was there for the first time in March 2020, of course everything was cheaper and all that, but I have to say, the food was better, more selection, fresher and really warm, staff came by more often to drink and ask if everything was okay , it wasn't too crowded and it was more pleasant to sit there, the toilets were also cleaner and back then I paid €150 for 7 people together, mind you food & drink TOGETHER, something like that is no longer possible today Then Kaisergarten was closed for a long time and I tried again to give it a chance after inflation and all that, August 2023 but I have to say, unfortunately it will never be the same again, of course everyone has to adjust the prices, but just barely " 30 € per person" is really steep!! and then not even all drinks are included Exactly the opposite when it comes to the food, as well as the ambience and the service Food isn't really warm, the selection is more limited and, if you're lucky, the service comes by twice and that's it, the toilet sometimes looks like it's from a train station It's a real shame that it's gone down so badly because I really enjoyed being there back then, especially because of the food, but I can hardly afford that these days and I'd rather spend the money somewhere else Maybe we'll wait another year or more to test all of this again, but for me it was enough for now Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: €40–50 Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes: Frühlingsrolle, Gebratene Nudeln Recommendation for vegetarians: Somewhat recommend Vegetarian offerings: Large vegetarian selection
