Mr. Satou is super friendly and will provide you many tips how to make Monzya Yaki taste better. We ordered three of them and everything taste great! Seafood one is not so salty and the Meitaigo is just legendary, clam chowder also exceeded my expectations, Mr. Satou told me some black pepper makes it even better, and ITS TRUE! I have tried many stores on the street, the service is by far the best and make you feel comfortable and cozy to eat it. Don’t be afraid, English works just fine too! Mr. Satou is the guy! I really enjoyed our first experience with monjayaki. It was very tasty and flavorful. My family usually doesn’t like things that are slightly runny in texture but they all really enjoyed it, even my kids who don’t like seafood normally. I would say it’s just a tad saltier than I would like. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: ¥1,000–2,000 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Monrou was honestly even better than the okonomiyaki spots we had planned to try. The dish came out incredibly moist and flavorful with a rich savory sauce and perfectly cooked ingredients throughout — not dry or heavy at all like some teppan places can be. You could tell everything was made fresh right on the grill. The service was also outstanding. Staff were super attentive, friendly, and quick to help without being overbearing. Great atmosphere, great food, and a really fun dining experience overall. Definitely one of the standout meals we’ve had in Japan so far. Highly recommend if you want something flavorful and comforting done properly. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
