The cocktail menu is genuinely creative, with plenty of local influences woven into the drinks. It was refreshing to see Sri Lankan ingredients and flavours being used in such thoughtful ways rather than relying on the usual cocktail standards. It felt like a place created by people who genuinely care about hospitality. If you're visiting Colombo and enjoy great cocktails, good conversation and a relaxed evening atmosphere, Monsoon is well worth a visit.

Last weekend I visited Monsoon Restaurant located on Park Street. The ambiance was so beautiful and the place had a very elegant atmosphere. I ordered some drinks, including a milkshake, along with a chicken bun, and both were really yummy. The staff were also very friendly and welcoming. Overall, it was a lovely experience and a great place to relax and enjoy good food. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: Rs 2,000–3,000 Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4

Such a nice ambience and a great place for a quick business lunch. The calm setting makes it perfect for conversations, and it wasn’t crowded at the time we went. We ordered Nasi Lemak and Pad Thai, both of which were really good and well portioned. As a starter, we tried the recommended fried cauliflower but not our favourite, but still decent and nicely presented. The restaurant has ample seating space and a relaxed vibe. The staff were super nice and very welcoming, always attentive. They even served king coconut, beautifully cut and presented, along with the entire king coconut shake , a lovely local touch. Overall, Monsoon Colombo is a good choice for casual dining, business lunches, or even a relaxed catch-up. I would definitely recommend it. If you’re planning to visit on weekends or in the evening, it’s best to make a reservation, as Park Street tends to get overly crowded.
