Monteverde is pretty near Kok-Tobe Hill. The recipe for success of this restaurant is its tasty pepperoni pizza, lagman and Pepperoni. Have a nice time here and share good ice cream with your friends. Visitors don't highly appreciate lemonade at Monteverde.
There is a lovely view from this place. From the guests' point of view, the staff is patient here. Despite the popularity among clients, the weak side of this spot is its downscale service. Average prices are what you are to pay for your meal. As people find it, the atmosphere is cozy here. But a number of guests who use Google didn't grant this restaurant a high rating.

I gave a review for this restaurant after my visit to Monteverde at Kok-Tobe Hill in Almaty. The food was okay, but the service was very poor. The staff looked unhappy, did not smile, and did not provide proper hospitality. Their attitude felt unfriendly and unwelcoming, which made the dining experience uncomfortable. This is the first time I have experienced such bad service in Almaty. Everywhere else in the city, people have been kind and respectful, so this was very disappointing. Because of the staff behavior and lack of service mind, I cannot recommend this restaurant. I was not impressed and would not return. If you plan to visit Kok-Tobe Hill, I strongly recommend buying a round-trip cable car ticket. Taxis are not allowed to drive up to the top unless you dine at the Abay restaurant. Only after eating there and spending at least 30,000 KZT will the restaurant provide a stamp that allows a taxi to come up and pick you up. Without this stamp, taxis are not permitted to access the hill, and drivers can be fined around 25,000 KZT. There is only one designated restaurant that can issue this stamp. This rule is not clearly explained to tourists, so many visitors may not know about it in advance. Meal type: Brunch

Extremely poor customer service. The cashier was openly rude and dismissive when I asked a simple question. There was no courtesy, no professionalism, and no attempt to treat a customer with basic respect. Management seriously needs to address staff attitude and customer service standards. Based on this experience, recommended to avoid this restaurant Food: 5 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 5
