We came here for cool drinks on a hot day! The drinks were delicious and Sherif and his friend were so kind and helpful. They even agreed to take us by boat back to our hotel. We had such a great experience with them!

It must be my bad luck. Or, the reviews on Google are just not genuine. Yes the location is nice, right on the river's edge..... But..... 45+ minutes wait for a pathetic burger, with half a piece of Egyptian bread, one slice of lettuce, and some fries. The guy serving was not pleasant, let alone in any way apologetic for the loooong wait for the food, and kept going elsewhere to get food items (including my fries) that he seemed not to have.... The place was swarming with mosquitoes (luckily there was some bug spray that helped a little)... Made worse by the long wait... Hope you're luckier than I was. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3

I had a wonderful time at The Moon Shadow. The service was genuinely friendly, and the food was superb — I had a delicious grilled fish that tasted like pure love. Even though it was a river fish, it was as savoury as the best sea fish. The view was amazing: right on the Nile’s bank, overlooking the Tombs of the Nobles in the distance. The chill-out music in the background added to the relaxing and peaceful atmosphere. The prices were fair, and it truly felt like home. I truly recommend it — my best Egyptian experience so far. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: E£200–400 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
