See The Popsy Room by default, the guests' piece of advice is to visit this restaurant as well. Make a change from your habitual meal and try good bean tofu, broth and green chicken at Mora. The cooks here prepare tasty pudding, ice cream and fruitcake. You will hardly forget delicious wine that you can order. Come to this place for great white tea, Chinese tea or ice tea.
The nice staff welcomes guests all year round. Fine service is something that people highlight in their reviews. There is charming atmosphere at this spot, as clients find it. It's a Michelin one-star restaurant, the award is usually given for providing delicious food.

I don't usually leave reviews, but I felt I had to share this experience. As a frequent traveler, I've dined at many restaurants around the world, including numerous Michelin-starred establishments. Unfortunately, my experience at Mora was one of the most disappointing. The service was exceptionally poor. One of the male staff members was particularly rude and dismissive, which made us feel unwelcome throughout our visit. We actually felt stressed throughout the meal instead of being able to relax and enjoy the dining experience. While some of the dishes had their merits, the overall dining experience was completely overshadowed by the unprofessional service. I also found it strange that the restaurant didn't present us with either a food menu or a wine list. For a Michelin-starred restaurant, I would have expected both to be offered proactively. This was, without a doubt, one of the worst experiences I've had at a Michelin-starred restaurant. I hope the management takes customer service more seriously, as hospitality should be an essential part of the dining experience. Dear HK Lim, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. Please accept our sincere apologies for the disappointment you experienced; this is certainly not the standard of hospitality we aim to provide. The miscommunication with our service team highlights a current gap in our internal training and procedures regarding our policy for infants and children under six years old. To share some context, due to the structural layout and limited size of our dining room and kitchen, we are unfortunately unable to accommodate infants or children under six years old, as noted in our booking system. We are deeply sorry that this policy was not communicated to you with the clarity and care it required. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back under better circumstances in the future.

We chose Mora for our birthday celebration dinner this year, arriving with high expectations and curiosity about its soy-themed cuisine. The dishes impressed us with their delicacy and refined execution, offering a unique take on soy-based ingredients. However, the variety felt somewhat limited, which made the overall experience less exciting than anticipated. While the meal was enjoyable, it did not fully justify the higher price point or leave a lasting impression. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

Ah, Mora. The frosted glass, the moody lighting, the stone guardian lions flanking the door, the whisper-quiet "we're-too-cool-for-a-big-sign" branding outside. Everything about the entrance promises an elevated, thoughtful dining experience. A perfect spot for a birthday celebration, right? Right?? Wrong. Let's start with the warm welcome — except it wasn't warm at all. We mentioned that one of us couldn't eat curry. A simple allergy heads-up. You'd think at a restaurant of this supposed calibre, the response would be a gracious "of course, we'll take care of it." Instead, we were treated to an impromptu interrogation by the female manager: *"Really can't eat? Why can't eat? Otherwise cannot help."* Ah yes, nothing says "fine dining hospitality" like cross-examining a guest about their dietary restrictions as if they're trying to smuggle contraband through customs. Sorry madam, didn't realise we needed to submit a medical certificate in triplicate before being allowed to enjoy our meal. Next time I'll bring a notarised affidavit. Now to the food — which, to be fair, *looked* the part. Delicate dumplings in a scalloped celadon bowl, dotted with dill flowers and crushed nuts. A poached fish situation with crispy threads on top, sitting in some kind of velvety broth. A golden tofu number swimming in a rich custardy sauce, crowned with a tiny nasturtium leaf because of course it was. Beautiful plating. Instagram-ready. Chef clearly cares. Did it taste amazing? Honestly meh. So-so. But I'll be generous and admit that maybe — just maybe — the food might have tasted better if our mood hadn't already been seasoned with passive-aggression and a side of guilt-tripping. But wait, the show wasn't over yet! After dessert — and let me stress, well before closing time — we suddenly became the last table. And clearly, this was an unforgivable crime. Cue the hovering. The pointed glances. The subtle (and not-so-subtle) energy of *"please leave, please leave, please leave."* Excuse me — I thought we were celebrating a birthday at a nice restaurant, not overstaying our welcome at someone's living room. If you didn't want guests lingering, perhaps don't take a reservation that ends so close to closing time? Or, here's a wild idea: let people enjoy the meal they paid good money for. A birthday should feel special. At Mora, it felt like we were inconveniencing the staff merely by existing. The food may have been polished, but the service was so spectacularly tone-deaf that no amount of dill flowers or beurre blanc could rescue the night. Final verdict: Beautiful plates. Beautiful interiors. Beautifully ruined evening. If you're celebrating something meaningful, do yourself a favour and celebrate it somewhere the staff actually wants you there.
