Moriya is a cozy udon restaurant nestled in Tokyo, specifically on 2-6-5. The establishment is known for its fresh homemade noodles, with visitor reviews highlighting the quality of the dishes. The menu primarily focuses on traditional Japanese udon varieties and offers something unique to Tokyo by featuring specialty items from Kagawa Prefecture.

Despite the menu being in Japanese, the experience seems to attract both novice foodies and those familiar with authentic flavors. While the restaurant lacks outdoor seating, it does accept credit cards, adding convenience for patrons. It provides service during lunch and dinner hours throughout the week, also offering brunch options on weekends.

Recent visitor reviews aren't available as the latest feedback is over a year old, and there appears to be a lack of updated information from the owner. Those dining here might expect simplicity in cuisine and atmosphere, with Moriya's unattractive addition of other features being notable only in that it operates at a budget-friendly price level. Interestingly, the wait during peak hours suggests a solid reputation among locals.

Incredibly chewy noodles in a light yet satisfying broth with very well done tempura. The beef was extremly flavourful and paired very well with the noodles and broth. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

When you enter the Ponte Seto-Umi building near Hamamatsucho, Tokyo, there is a store selling some souvenirs on the first floor. If you take the stairs on the left and go up to the second floor, there are several restaurants. The one on the right is Moriya Tokyo. . If there is a line, you can stand in line and then take a seat to order. However, if you want to order faster, it is better to look at the menu in advance. There are several types, but for lunch, there was a tempura set that came with udon and tempura, so I ordered that. There are many choices of udon, but I ate sack udon with dipping sauce. There are kake udon that you eat with dip or bukkake udon that you sprinkle on, so you can eat it according to your preference. - The Jaru udon set comes like this, and I forgot whether the tempura is shiso or perilla leaf, and it comes with shrimp, sweet potato, and pumpkin. Since there is no overlap, there is no bite, and each and every piece tastes good, so I definitely recommend trying tempura! The shrimp meat is especially firm and delicious. It goes well with udon, but is also good on its own. Of course, tsuyu has a strong katsuobushi flavor, which is nice because it has a stronger flavor than what you normally eat. You might think it's too salty, but I liked it just fine. The noodles are a bit thinner than expected compared to their thickness, but this has a very unique texture. This is udon that anyone can enjoy. There seems to be a course menu, but you can make a reservation on the website, so if you need it, you can go in and find out!
