Morote Ice Cream is a fun and slightly fancy dessert spot that’s perfect for late-night cravings. It’s one of those places that feels a bit special—who usually goes out for ice cream at night? But that’s exactly what makes it unique. The place itself is very Instagrammable, with a clean and aesthetic setup that makes your dessert look even better in photos. It’s not a big shop, though—more of a small stand-style space. There are no proper seats available, only high tables, so it’s more of a quick stop rather than a place where you stay for a long time. Despite the limited space, the overall vibe is nice and enjoyable, especially if you’re just hanging out or exploring at night. Overall: A cute and aesthetic late-night ice cream spot. Not ideal if you’re looking to sit and relax, but great for quick dessert runs and photos.

Found this place completely by accident but I’m glad I did! The aesthetic is SO cute, charming, friendly & social. Entire building appeared to be very clean & just felt comfortable being in there. They have tons of different flavors & options for ice cream. I got the Oreo while my friend got the tiramisu. Both were fun to eat with cornflakes in the bottom?? Surprising but no complaints. The ice cream itself was a bit basic but the toppings really went well with it. They also came with a waffle which we’re assuming was a croissant! It was flaky & buttery. Went well with the ice cream! Service here was very polite & seemed to enjoy her craft. They also have a little station to take a picture (black & white) which was fun for memories. You can hang them on the wall or keep it. They also sell other items on the shelves, extremely cheap it seems. The seating swing is relaxing. It’s a whole vibe. I’m only taking away a star because it did take a long while & the ice cream base was a bit lacking BUT otherwise! I would definitely return Edit: I’m so oblivious. I just realized they call their item “croffle” fo croissant waffle

Gedanny Vera Thank you so much for your thoughtful and detailed review! We’re especially grateful for your honest feedback as someone living here in Okinawa. Creating a comfortable late-night dessert space in Ginowan for both locals and the community means a lot to us. We’re so happy you enjoyed the Oreo, tiramisu, cornflakes surprise, and our croffle The flaky, buttery texture is one of our favorites too. We truly appreciate your comments about the wait time and the ice cream base. We are actively working on improving the richness and texture of our soft-serve so that it feels less “basic” and more memorable next time. We hope MOROTE. can become one of your regular sweet stops here in Okinawa. Looking forward to welcoming you back again soon!
