A local bakery that serves a great breakfast. Really good quality food. The coffee is good as well. They also serve some great hot products, cakes, bread and sandwiches. Awful - Went in at 12 (lunchtime) for a sarnie. Sandwiches ready made and under a heat lamp - could see that the cheese and ham were curling where they had dried out, same with salad. Tried to persuade my daughter not to purchase anything but she did and couldn’t even bite the sandwich as the bread was dried out and rock hard - Couldn’t turn around and go back as the traffic was awful on Lysander Road (obviously not Mortimers fault). The young lady that served us used her bare hands (no tongs) after she had touched 3 other sandwiches for another customer.
This has always been a place we’ve visited for a decent sandwich when we visit Yeovil, sadly we won’t be doing it again
